Bactivator and Mitex are two different organic pesticides. Bactivator is added to the nutrient solution. This is harmlessly absorbed by the plants, which act like they produced the plant pesticide themselves. Bactivator is harmless to large organisms, as are plants such as spring onions, garlic, chillis and peppers.

Bioponic Bactivator

100% Organic. Effective against Pythium and Spider Mite. Biological inoculation working with your plants' natural defense systems to increase resistance to pest attack and fungal infection. A blend of naturally occuring microbes as found in a good rich topsoil, combined with essential amino acids, vitamins and plant stimulants. Sterilising products (ie H₂O₂) must not be used with Bactivator.

Directions

1. Add 1 level spoon of microbes to 500ml of tepid water. Stir well and allow to stand for 15 mins.
2. Add 10ml of catalyst for each spoon of microbes in your solution. Allow to stand for 15 minutes more for full activation of microbes.
3. Add Bactivator to the nutrient solution in your tank. Mix well. Circulate nutrient solution to your plants as normal.
4. Repeat every six or seven days.

Mitex is a concentrated pesticide spray. Follow the instructions on the bottle:

Directions

Add 10ml of the concentrate to 1 litre of tap water. Spray upper and lower surfaces of the leaf to the point of run off. Repeat application every 14 to 21 days, if required. Shake well before use.
